Child food allergy: making everyday life easier
When a child has an allergy, everyone around them needs to know: school, the canteen, the childminder, grandparents… and the child too. askadèle was designed with parents of children with allergies, for exactly these situations.
Free, no ads, no sign-up.

Kids mode: “Can I eat this?”
One big button. Your child scans the product and gets a giant answer: YES ✅, ask a grown-up ⚠️ or NO ⛔. The rest of the app stays locked, even if it’s closed: to exit, an adult holds their finger on the padlock for three seconds.
Loved ones always in the loop
- A link to send to grandparents, the childminder, the school or holiday club: the allergies, the suitable products and what to do in the event of a reaction. The page stays up to date when you change it. They don’t need the app or an account (the link is created with a free account).
- A profile shared between parents (with a free account): each of you can edit it from your own phone.
- The allergy card, translated if needed, for restaurant meals or school trips.
The emergency plan, ready to print
What to do, who to contact, adrenaline auto-injectors and a reminder of their expiry dates: a clear document to give the school, alongside the PAI (French school allergy plan) drawn up with the doctor. To get ready for the new school year, read our guide to the PAI.
Medical follow-up
- Next appointment with the allergist or paediatrician, with a reminder a week before and the day before.
- Treatment: a reminder for each dose if you wish.
- Diary: a reaction, a newly tolerated food… to show the allergist.
This information stays on your phone. Reminder notifications contain no medical details.
Frequently asked questions
From what age can you use Kids mode?
As soon as the child can point the phone at a barcode, often around age 5 or 6, with an adult at first. The answer is designed to be understood without reading: a pictogram and a colour.
Does the school need to install the app?
No. The guest link opens in any browser, with no app or account. It complements the PAI; it does not replace it.
Is the guest link secure?
It contains an identifier that’s impossible to guess, and you can delete it at any time: the page is then no longer accessible.
Is my child’s health data shared?
No, not without your consent: allergies stay on your phone unless you turn on online backup, share the profile or send a guest link.
